Foosapp and its development is still something we do aside from client work. It’s our hobby bringing the team together, coming to life in the evenings or during weekends... Saturday garden office means that the whole team meets in the garden of one of our developers and together move Foosapp forward. Then comes the testing. Now we‘ve decided it’s time to take it to a new level. We’re sending Foosapp into the world!
New challenges keep coming! There are just a few days left till the presentation, and there is still much to do to deliver a successful presentation. From the technical things such as finishing the development of some elements in Android, iOS, and desktop over implementing a new promo web, ordering promo materials such as badges for promotion at the actual place to organizing everything and everyone before and during the three-day event. All by ourselves. So let’s do this!
What actually needs to be done?So far we’ve been developing Foosapp just for our use and the efforts have been directed towards collecting data from games. They were deployed to our internal server which was suitable for a smaller number of users but we realized that for the promo event, we would have to upgrade to something stronger. So we switched to Amazon cloud services to be able to collect game data from more users. To visually show the collected data, we had to implement a system which would turn the data into statistics and leaderboards. Then we had to link this system to a new web app which is currently under construction. The statistics will be thus visible after each match and will show the user’s rank. Thanks to this we will find out how the testing went, who plays with who and who’s the best shooter. :-)
